In all honesty, there are some times when familiarity works for a film. There's a point where it's cliche, but The Town was smart enough not to pervade too far into that territory. My hope is that Conviction will be similar in that respect, and reviews have actually been quite positive. Don't expect an Oscar nod out of it, but it may surprise you.
