I feel extremely sorry for the baby in Life as We Know It. Her parents inexplicably disappear for no real reason, and then these two self-centered idiots start smiling at her while she cries her eyes out. It's a sign of the cruelty of the modern film industry that this is a comedy. Katherine Heigl is long past her peak, and now she just comes off as irritating. Josh Duhamel is simply dumb, not just as a character, but as an actor as well. Actually, I think that this film is just a reworked version of Raising Hope, except far more sadistic.
