I've never really been as relieved as I am now. I've had some painfully stressful times in this past month, so I actually kind of needed this. When Zack Snyder was confirmed as the director in Christopher Nolan's Superman reboot, many uneasy reactions came to mind, like the director's hyperactive style as well as his emotional handicap. However, the thought that was oddly the first to come to mind was the dread that Snyder's regular composer, Tyler Bates, would be inheriting the honor of scoring the film. Thank God, good taste prevailed. Instead, Hans Zimmer will be writing the score for the new production, adding a voice that might translate the colorful visuals more fluently. This film is going to have a long road to the big screen, but at least we're off to an easy start.
