A while back Jon Favreau announced that he was throwing in the towel when it comes to directing the popular superhero series, thus setting into motion a search for the next director. The answer to all our problems came not so far from home as we imagined, as Shane Black is now slated to direct Iron Man 3. Black has worked with Robert Downey Jr. on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was one hell of a fun and excellently written ride. If Black brings all the same materials with him to the womanizing superhero series, we may have a high point in quality. I know that nobody wants what happened to Iron Man 2 to happen here.
