J.J. Abrams Producing "Alkatraz" Drama!

It's pretty interesting news whenever J.J. Abrams signs on to produce a pilot, which almost always gets picked up, and occasionally is directed by Abrams himself. That seems to be what's happening now with Alkatraz, a drama pilot penned by Elizabeth Sarnoff, one of the writers of Lost. Abrams is set to produce the project, but nothing more as of now. We'll have to wait to see what becomes of it, but it sounds like something different from anything he's ever done. It could be a thriller in the vein of Prison Break, but I don't think it will be. As of now, we're mostly in the dark.
