The last week has been pretty monumental in many ways, and that's allowed me to get pretty lost in the torrent of input. For the past few days, and for perhaps another day, I haven't been able to post images along with my news stories. Hopefully that will change soon, but until then, you will have to just rely on the quality of the stories. We've had plenty of interesting guest stars appearing on Glee, such as Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Groban, but this is a pretty interesting bit of casting news. Academy Award winner Javier Bardem is set to guest star on the popular musical comedy in its second season.
This seems like a stretch for the show, because the last time I checked, Javier Bardem's greatest role was as a sociopath. It'd be interesting if he reprised the same role on the show, but I don't think that'll happen. Instead Bardem is playing somebody with links to wheelchair bound Artie. I'm not sure what that means, but this casting opens the floodgate for anybody to guest star on or even direct an episode of the show. Seriously, imagine Christoph Waltz guesting on a Quentin Tarantino directed episode of Glee. How would you not want to see that?
