Toronto Days. Toronto Nights: "The King's Speech" Wins!
Before Toronto, The King's Speech was already being talked up as a possibility for a Best Picture nomination. Now, it's a lock as well as a frontrunner in the race. The Toronto International Film Festival finished up recently, awarding the Cadillac People's Choice Award to the British drama starring Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush. The film played spectacularly throughout the festival, and critics clearly adore it. I look forward to the opportunity to see it this Saturday. It's easily one of highlights of my week, and I look forward to seeing and reviewing it for you a week from now.
