Once again turning the clocks back a month, The Tempest closed the Venice Film Festival on something of a sour note. Critics were not exactly lining up to praise the film, but now we have an official look at the film. My own take on it is mixed, as we get some extremely visually stimulating moments in this trailer. On the other hand, it looks a little too hokey and repulsive for viewers to rush out to see, and then there's the glaring fact that it's a film adaptation of Shakespeare. Not in the vein of 10 Things I Hate About You, but rather a direct translation to screen. Shakespeare's stories are better suited to the stage than the screen. Check out the trailer below, and make your own opinion heard.
