Right now, the hype surrounding the upcoming sequel to TRON has been mainly focused around the soundtrack by Daft Punk. I'm only at a medium level of geek, so my life hasn't really revolved around this sort of thing, but I definitely understand why people are excited. The short musical clip we've gotten from the soundtrack is pretty great, even if I've already heard most of it from the trailers. I doubt that TRON Legacy is going to go on to nab a Best Picture nomination as the hard core geeks hope it will. Focus your energies on something a little more realistic.
Well watch the first movie, then just look at what this potentially will be
ReplyDeletethe biggest leap in quality of a sequel, ever.
The score in the original, is so horrible,
that it is heresy to attribute it to the typical 80's style,
like greats such as ghostbusters exemplified.
Daft punks score alone makes it amazing,
as well as featuring the duo
as MP3 programs within the Computer world, absolute genius.
The inclusion of the revolutionaries behind mainstream house techno,
is not a draw to the "geek" community,
but more so a draw to the ravers, the partiers,
and general audiences who may wish to couple Tron: Legacy,
with some experience heightening substances.
